Into the21st century, China’s development has gradually shifted from land to sea. In2012, the Report of18th Party Congress put forward the strategic goal of building maritime power, to accelerate the pace of China’s march to the sea. Thoroughly implement the Marine Strategy and developing the marine economy has become an important deployment in the12th Five-Year Plan. The East China Sea, with a long coastline, numerous islands, rich in natural resources, adjacent to the developed coastal provinces and cities, and special strategic location, is one of China’s most important waters, but also the forefront of the development of marine economy in China. Therefore, as a guarantee and prerequisite of the healthy and sustainable development of the East China Sea economic, legal protection studying of the East China Sea economic security has important theoretical and practical value.This master’s degree thesis consists of an introduction, body and conclusion. The first part is the "Introduction", the author pointed out the background, significance, research perspective and methods. The second part is the East China Sea Economic Security Overview, which respectively defined the scope of the East China Sea, the connotation of economic security, determined the main contents of the paper, including policy risk, social management and industrial development, which discussed from the third part to the fifth part of the thesis progressively. The last part is the conclusion, profiling of the text of the core content of the main points, and pointed out the limitations of the study and its theoretical value.The innovations of this thesis includes:1. changing traditional thought, to establish the concept of utilizing marine by law.2. revise and improve the conflicting laws and regulations related to the sea, which are far behind the actual situation.3. introduced as soon as possible the Basic Law of the ocean, regulating marine activities, protecting the East China Sea region’s economic security and resource security.4. explore the way that the local governments of the East China Sea coast develop special industries in line with local conditions, to achieve sustainable development of marine economy.
