Study On The Women’s Issues In Constructing The Harmonious Society

The important proposition of “Set up the socialism diapason society” was broughtforward at the Fourth Plenary Session of the Sixteenth Central Committee of the Party, as theCPC’s principle of governing. Building a harmonious society requires adherence to the“people-oriented", to achieve comprehensive human development, which necessarily includesthe development of women who constitute half the population. As we all know, the womenhave played an irreplaceable role in the human development process; they not only bear thecontinuation of the nation, but also promote the economic, cultural and political developmentof the whole society with their own wisdom and labor, therefore, they are the indispensablefirmest prop for building a harmonious society. However, being influenced by the conceptionsof history and their own conditions, for the development of contemporary female, there arestill many unresolved issues that we need to give attention.This paper adheres to the Marxist views of women as a guide, based on the investigationand analysis of the status of women survive, objectively points out the positive factors andnegative factors that affect women’s development, thus sums up the specific issues in women’sdevelopment, and based on these issues, from the point view of the state, women’sorganizations and women themselves, puts forward related comments for solving women’sissues from multi-angle, and strives to promote the comprehensive development of women,and contributes to building a harmonious society. This paper consists of four parts:The first part describes the importance of women’s development for building aharmonious society. This part shows the theoretical basis supporting this article, that is theconnotations of setting up a harmonious socialist society and Marxist views of women, andthus sums up the role women play in building a harmonious society, so as to highlight itssignificance.The second part describes women’s living conditions and influencing factors. Basedmainly on the relevant information and data collection and analysis, this section objectivelysums up the living conditions of women, including its progress and shortcomings, meanwhilelists the positive factors and negative factors that form the living conditions of women.The third part puts forward the women’s issues in the process of building a harmonioussociety. This section specifically points out the existed problems in the contemporary women’development process, and lists in detail the issues related to women rights, women attention,women crime as well as the construction of women’s federations and so on. This meticulous division helps to point out the direction for solving women’s issues.The fourth part gives an important way to promote women’s development. Based on theabove sections, this part puts forward the specific recommendations to promote women’sdevelopment, from the state, women’s organizations and individuals three aspects, accordingto the existed problems of women in the process of building a socialist harmonious society,and brings forward the targeted and constructive measures for these problems, so as topromote the development of women’s development and social harmony.
