Research On Governance Countermeasures To Village Official Corruption In X County

The village official is not a real sense of an official, but it is the leader andbackbone which implements the policies of the Party and State at the local level andleads the broad masses of farmers to construct the socialism new countryside. And it isalso the bridge between farmers and the Party for communicating and contacting.Its importance is self-evident. In recent years, the village official corruption caseswhich have been sanctioned and disclosed are shocking nationwide. The majorcorruption cases made by the village official have been caused the severe social influ-ence. It makes us worry about the future of the Party and State.The governance of village official corruption is an important issue which needs tobe solved. The author has worked in X county for more than four years, from thetown government to the county authority. Due to the work, the author can master muchinformation about village official corruption. Earlier this year, the author carried out atwo-month investigation which aiming at2921village cadres in480villages(communities) of X county, to gather the data and cases of village official corruption ofX county from2004to2013, and mastered authentic firsthand. The above-mentioneddata and typical cases were analyzed and the types and characteristics of villageofficial corruption were summed up. And then, the causes of village official corruptionwere explored from different perspectives, such as the traditional culture, the socialreality, the organization construction, the supervision system and so on. At last, fromthe aspects of leading attention and care, improving the quality of the village officials,increasing the investigation efforts and perfecting the supervision system and otheraspects, the author provided some insights for village official corruption governance inX county.
