Research On Misleading Information And Mistakes In Exploring Socialist Road

Leaders make decision must obey objective laws and master scientific informationwhich is the premise of making decision. it is an important standard of distinguishing thenature and developing way between different things. Once the information is wrong, thedecision will deviate from the fact. Chair Mao and his colleagues had made a series of wrongdecisions such as accelerating agricultural cooperatives movement in the late stage, the GreatLeap Forward Movement and the extension of class struggle which were in conflict with thereal situation after the founding of PRC. One of important reasons was that the leadersreceived wrong information.This paper, following the history and taking methodology of historical materialism anddialectical materialism to analysis the conditions between misleading information andmistakes in exploring socialist road and to get the underlying reasons. Summarize theexperiences and lessons from it and provide some advice for the leader how to deal with therelationship between information and decision-making: the leader must adhere to scientificand democratic principles when he makes a decision; the government must create looseenvironment which public opinion could be expressed freely; the researchers must use correctresearch methods; lower leaders should shoulder their social responsibilities,firm theirscientific position and dare to convey real opinions; information should be brought intolegalization management to ensure the accuracy of information sources.
