Empirical Study On The Social Moral Cost Imbalance

Since the policy of Reform and Opening-up proposed in the Third Plenary Sessionof the13th Central Committee of the CPC, China began to gain a swift development, asa result of which, China’s economy has been improving enormously. Currently, it hasbeen the main trend to lower economic growth target, change the mode of economicgrowth while promote rapid and healthy economic development. However, the socialistmoral construction has not kept pace of economic development. A halt should beordered to the rapid development of the economy, and meanwhile it is an importantmoment to reflect society as a whole to start with economic development and moralconstruction disjointed. There have been many phenomenon of moral decline such likecredit crisis, moral anomie and lack of faith in today’s society. With the overalldevelopment of society, ethical issues and moral construction is gaining more and moreattention, however, most focus gathered in moral ideology level, many of the moralconstruction is also recommended for people who stay in a single moral influence, didnot go deep into the essence. Morality, as a product of social development, inevitablyhas its sociality, nevertheless, the problems resulting from human activities can beattributed to unbalanced interest, so when the problem of unbalanced cost of socialistmorality is explored, we should refer to the interests. Returning to nature of the problemis necessary to find the solution to the problem, therefore, balancing bilateral andmultilateral point of interest is the fundamental way to solve the moral problem.As Marx said, the superstructure is determined by the economic base, and a certainsocial system determines adequate social relations. Social morality is a substanceproduced by the society, is part of the content of social consciousness. The socialistmoral construction, if unsuitable to the development of society and economy, willinevitably affect the development of society as a whole. However, for moral issues,introducing the concept of "moral cost" can be more intuitive to answer what is themoral issue, how to objectively and effectively solve ethical issues. Exploring thesocialist moral cost and analyzing the moral phenomenon intend to specific the ideology, to analyze the problem and find an effective way to solve the problem.The innovation of this paper is, through analyzing the phenomenon of socialmorality, to cost the socialist morality which belong to the social ideology which meansthat to quantify the social ethical standards with socialist morality. And to explore theexistence of cost imbalance in today’s socialist morality, to optimize moral environmentby balancing social and moral costs of initiatives, so as to make moral truly rise to areasonable height, build good social and moral atmosphere conducive to thedevelopment of a socialist harmonious society.
