The ubiquitous existence of false advertising has brought great negative impact on consumers, other business operators, media credibility. False advertising not only harm the free competition of the market economy order, at the same time, they impeded the development of the advertising industry’s own specification. The legal regulation of false advertising has become an important means of governance, the enacting of “Advertising Law”, “Anti-Unfair Competition Law”, “Consumer Protection Act” has provided some methods to resolve false advertising. It is noteworthy that "the revised draft Second Draft Advertising Law," has clearly defined the concept of false advertising and strengthened the legal liability of false advertising, we can look forward to the revised "Advertising Law" will be significantly improved. But it is undeniable that the existing legal regulation pathways are more focused on traditional means of administrative penalties, they played a role in the disciplinary of false advertising, but how to prevent the generation of false advertising and how to affect decision-making remains limited. It also reminds us that it is necessary to govern the false advertising from a new perspective. Based on the analysis of false advertising is generally inadequate governance approach. based on the introduction of information regulation means, this article proposed to strengthen the legal countermeasures in false advertising from the angle of information regulation.Except for the introduction and conclusion, this article is divided into five parts:The first part is a general overview of false advertising information regulation, defined and elaborated the standard of false advertising, the insufficient of general false advertising governance, emphasized the importance of advertising information governance.The second part has analyzed the using of information regulation in false advertising, and analyzed problems to be solved in information regulation.The third part focused on basic information regulation in foreign false advertising, summed up the beneficial experience for our government..The fourth part of this article put forward some Legal Countermeasures for information regulation. This is the most important part, mainly elaborated legal system of false advertising information governance regulation; build scientific integrity files; introduced corrective advertising system; perfect incentive system for false advertising; improve consumer warning system.
