Adverbial clauses of condition is one of the basic sentences in legal documents, the translation of these clauses, to a large extent, determines the quality of the whole text of translation. The materials translated by author including indictment, complaint, answer, legislation and contracts, in which there are a lot of adverbial clauses of condition, especially in the Divorce Law of Canada. However, few academic works discuss the specific translation skills on adverbial clauses of condition. Thus, this report elaborates some translation strategies in translation of the adverbial clauses of condition in Divorce Act of Canada.Firstly, the author introduces the conjunction, classification and the existing translation modes of the adverbial clause of condition. Then, the author discusses how to use the proper translation strategies in translating the different adverbial clauses of condition in Divorce Act of Canada. At last, the author summarizes the gains from the translating practice.
