With the development of economy in china, many people go abroad for trading even settling down there. Thus more and more Chinese people start to concentrate on culture or economy in other areas, among which, law is an important part. Recent years, legal translation is playing a vital role in further promoting internationalization of China’s law and provides reference for travelers, traders or even scholars.This translation report is about the Constitution of the Republic of the Maldives(chapter I-VI). From the perspectives of Skopos Theory, the report elaborates how to produce ideal translated versions with appropriate strategies and summarizes the problems, translation strategies and what the author learnt and unsolved problems. This report is composed of four parts: The first part makes a general introduction to the translation task and the source text. The second part talks about translation process including preparations, problems and difficulties in translation and translation theory and strategies; the third part is case study which analyzes the problems in the translation procedure and provides some methods for dealing with the difficulties in the source texts; the last part summarizes the unsolved problems during translation and the knowledge learnt from the process.
