The dissertation analyzes from the interaction of the members of the alliance and the interaction of the members and other countries as well, attempting to figure out the reasons for the identity’s alternation of the members on those non-alliance countries, as well as the approaches of the changes of the stability of alliance due to the identity’s alternation. The switching process, on one hand, is in terms of constructivism, mainly based on social theory, the standout point of social identity theory is a case to the point. On the other hand, the discussion about the identity salience makes a more impressive sense. The author’s argumentation about this point co-opted cognitive psychology theory. Lastly, the writer comes to the conclusion that countries do make contrast about the interest that different identities can bring about when confronted with options of different identities on one hand, which is in accordance with many theories about the research of alliance issues. Nevertheless, on the other hand, the authorities’ cognition of the comparisons among various countries are influenced by exterior stimulus, which are deeply affected by the cultural influences in history. Hence, only by the combination of the two aspects can we have a thorough understanding about the cohesion of alliance.
