Study Of Japan’s Imperial System

In Japan’s post-war political system, Japan’s imperial system still has an important influence. With Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe takes office, right-wing and conservative force speeds up constitutional amendment and the demand of restoration of the Mikado(emperor)’s position is growing louder, so there is reality demand and practical significance to research Japan’s imperial system now.The monarchy like Japan’s imperial system is a political system as well as a spiritual structure, and both of them are indispensable. Thus, the monarchy has two properties, namely, political nature and spirituality. Here it is called duality, its combined effect decides the development process of the monarchy. In this paper, I combine a wide range of subjects, like politics, law, science of religion, history and sociology, etc. By utilizing the method of interdisciplinary research, I can analyze the content and law of political nature and spirituality of Japan’s imperial system, and then present the duality’s analytical framework. The duality’s analytical framework consists of strong-week relationship, identity and division structure of political nature and spirituality. Then contacting the Japanese social and political status quo, I can understand and grasp Japan’s imperial system thoroughly, and evaluate and induce the relations with Japan’s imperial system and conservative political. Finally, I deduce that it is too difficult for right-wing and conservative force to make modern absolute monarchy revived. And, it is still proved that symbolic emperor system is the optimal choice for Japan.Through the analysis of the duality of Japan’s imperial system, my paper try to provide a new perspective of theoretical explanation for the development process, especially for symbolic imperial system today. I believe it is benefit to improve the correlation research of Japan’s imperial system and Japanese politics.
