After his assumption of prime minister, an array of right-wing conservative policieshas been introduced, which is not only worsens the Sino-Japan relations, but also exacerbatestensions in Northeast Asia. We should be conscious of that Abe’s right-wing conservatism isthe inevitable consequence of the post-war conservative politics and Abe is the synthesizer ofconservative politics in Japan. By reviewing the evolution of post-war conservative politics,the author in this article tries to explore the origin of Abe’s conservative politics and forecastits tendency in the future.The article is consisted of4parts.The first part is a research into the historic background of Abe’s conservative politicsfrom following three respects: Japan’s imposed democratization by the U.S, the evolution ofJapan’s conservative parties and the changes in its cabinet during the early post-war period.The second part indicates that Japan’s conservative politics entered a period of stabledevelopment after the “Fifty-five Regime†was set up. The author aims at the historic originof Abe’s conservative politics by reviewing the establishment and development of “Fifty-fiveRegimeâ€.The third part is an analysis of Japan’s conservative politics development after cold war.After its domination in Japan’s politics for35years,“Fifty-five Regime†collapsed after coldwar.
