Our country has witnessed rapid development in such aspects as politics, economy and culture, but many problems emerge such as a big gap between the rich and poor, the large number of poor people, which are harmful to the social stability. Maintaining social stability is an important task of our country at the present stage. The police play an important role in maintaining the stability of the work. And it is particularly important select the police and assess the work performance of the police. The police, as a special profession, should meet some special requirements. At the same time, many factors are involved in deciding whether the suitability and eligibility. This paper aims to explore the relationship between personality traits and job performance from the perspective of personality traitsThis paper adopted the method of questionnaire and interview to survey about the personality traits on different kinds of police in Zhuanghe in order to get the results of all dimensions of personality. At the same time the annual assessment results of 2013 were sorted out in Zhuanghe. Finally, using SPSS statistical analysis of the collected data, analysis of the correlation between scores of personality and job performance was made.This paper adopted the method of questionnaire and interview to survey about the personality traits on different kinds of police in Zhuanghe in order to get the results of all dimensions of personality. Finally, using SPSS statistical analysis of the collected data, analysis of the correlation between scores of personality and job performance was made.In this paper, the preliminary conclusion is that the personality dimensions are correlated with job performance assessment score, but most of the correlation is weak. Of which, correlation coefficient between rigorous self-discipline and personality traits is the largest. In addition, demographic variables, the police types, working years, age, marital status, political situation, education and gender have a certain impact on personality and evaluation points.
