The process of industrialization makes China into the accelerating social transition period. And there was a far-reaching phenomenon emerged--peasant worker rush. Under the influence of dual structure, Migrant workers have been universally received discrimination treatment, and gradually marginalized when sharing the achievements of reform. At last, they become a special group in the transition period. There is a generation change within the group of migrant workers as time goes on. The older generation of migrant workers has returned to countryside. The new generation gradually emerges and becomes the main body of migrant workers. The new generation of migrant workers is usually in the situation that they neither want to return home nor root in cities. If their claims can’t be reached, the formation of a series of political, economic and social issues is inevitable. Consequently, in order to improve our urbanization level, it is urgent to help them to eliminate migration like migratory birds and finish the social inclusion from economic, social and psychological level. The thesis is composed of six chapters. Chapter Ⅰ is the introduction. It explains the background and significance of the problem that we are going to discuss, cards domestic and overseas research results, defines the conception of the new generation of migrant workers and social inclusion, expounds theoretical basis, and at last, introduces the content, methods, innovation and shortcomings of research.Chapter Ⅱ and Ⅲ analyze the existing problems of social inclusion. Based on the data of Jinan, both chapters take the descriptive statistic analysis on the current situation of social inclusion from economic, social and psychological level. And then, according to discussion above, we analyze the predicament of social inclusion from such aspects, labor and employment, leisure life, social interaction and participation and identity.Chapter Ⅳ analyses the factors affecting social inclusion of new generation of migrant workers. It contains two parts. The first part explains social inclusion degree of this group in Jinan, the second part analyzes how institutional and non-institutional factors affect the social inclusion.Chapter Ⅴ makes the countermeasure analysis on promoting social inclusion of this group. For the sake of reversing the difficult situation of social inclusion, we must take measures from two perspectives and five aspects. On a macro level, the priority is speeding up reform of household registration and social security system, promoting employment of this group and creating a positive social environment. For new generation of migrant workers, we must motivate subjective initiative.Chapter Ⅵ expounds research conclusions and prospects. Based on current content, we can strengthen research on such aspects: industrial transformation and their children’s education problems. There are some existing deficiencies in this article, such as the regional limitations of sample and lack of comparison analysis of two generations of migrant workers.Social inclusion of new generation workers has a close relationship with improvement of urbanization and people’s life quality. The solution of this problem is conductive to make those words such as migrant workers and new generation of migrant workers gradually fade. The new generation of migrant workers will eventually end hardships far away from home, include themselves into urban culture, possess real civic identity,, and live and work calmly.
