Study On The Theory Of Social Changes Of Western Ecological Marxism

Since Ager proposed to change capitalism, more and more Western scholars criticizes capitalism ecological crisis with Marxism, and who gradually developed into a new genre named Western Ecological Marxism. After the Ecological Marxist scholars enters 21th century though the development of 20th century, they have the more and more mature eco-criticism theory and the profound of awareness of Ecological crisis. They attributed capitalist system and its mode of production to the source of ecological crisis, and proposed that the only way of solving ecological crisis is to change the capitalist system and its mode of production. After the success of changing capitalist, they designed to establish a society of un-ecological crisis and the liberation of man and nature named Ecological Socialist Society.This thesis based on the diagnosis and treatment of the ecological crisis, researches the eco-criticism and ecological reconstruction on the Ecological Marxism. This thesis is divided into four parts. The first part is the social background and reasons of theory of social changes of Ecological Marxism. The second part mainly describes the Ecological Marxism about the theories of changing the capitalist system. Ecological Marxist scholars think the working class is still the radical transformative power of Eco-socialism, and they should consociate with the Green Movement. The working class transforms capitalism through class struggle, and gradually establishes the ecological self-government organizations. Then the Eco-socialist society is realized in an all-round way. Finally, the capitalist systems and the consumerism values are replaced by the socialist system, mode of production and the socialist philosophy values. The third part shows that the ecological Marxist about the theoretical construction of Eco-socialist society, and analyzes the main features of Eco-socialism after changing the capitalist system. Ecological Marxist scholars criticize capitalism with the perspective of ecology, they establishes an Eco-socialist society which have the scientific socialism with the characteristics of communism which is based on common ownership, developed the social economy by means of plan and market in order to the physical needs, and established the socialist fairness and justice. The fourth part analyzes the great significance and inspiration for socialist ecological civilization construction though the Ecological Marxist theory of social change, but it must be recognized that the blueprint for eco-socialism is utopia.
