Research On The Realistic Predicament Of Cultivating And Practicing Socialist Core Values

The socialist core values is one of the important theoretical results of Marxism localized in China and the cornerstone of our spirit in reform and development. Cultivating and practicing the socialist core values effectively is beneficial to set up the common ideal of socialism with Chinese characteristics, to maintain security in our ideology sphere, and to enhance national cultural soft power. Under the current historical conditions and social environment cultivating and practicing the socialist core values has good realistic foundations and favorable conditions, and faces many challenges simultaneously. We should realize and understand the constraints appeared and the realistic predicaments faced in the process of cultivating and practicing the socialist core values correctly, analyze the causes, and find out the corresponding solution path, to make socialist core values be identified and practiced by the masses of the people.This paper contains four chapters:The first chapter is instruction, mainly introduced the background and significance of this topic, research review, research methods and the innovation of this study.The second chapter illustrates the theory background and significance the of cultivating and practicing the socialist core values. This part which starts from the basic theoretical research of the socialist core values, provides a theoretical basis for further research. The last of this part elucidates the meaning of cultivating and practicing the socialist core values briefly.The third chapter discusses and analyzes the realistic predicaments and the causes in cultivating and practicing the socialist core values, thinks that there exists the negative influence on economy development, the lack of political identification, the lack of value recognition and consensus, and the disjunction of what to know and what to do. The reasons exists misunderstanding and distortion of the theory, the marginalization phenomenon of mainstream values, the lack of value identity, etc.The fourth chapter explores the viable paths of cultivating and practicing the socialist core values. Theory is the premise of practice, so this part focuses on the theory innovation firstly. Then studies on the strategies of solving realistic predicaments in cultivating and practicing from the aspects of cultural heritage, the system construction, improving people’s livelihood, practicing cultivation and transmission channels.
