The Analysis Of China’s Climate Diplomacy

In spite of the vast territory of China, it is one of the world’s countries whole ecological environment is the most vulnerable resulting in the occurrence of extreme weather events, global warming in recent years. The climate problem has caused great economic losses to China and threats to the safety of people’s lives and property and to our national security. Climate change is not only an environmental issue, but also a senior political issue, which has attracted wide attention of the whole society to debate with each other. Facing such a complicated international situation, China has paid more and more attention to the climate diplomacy, and has became an indispensable force in the international climate negotiations.This article, consisting of three parts, is written from the perspective of diplomacy, which focuses on the principle, dynamic analysis and diplomatic process of climate diplomacy of China.All the diplomatic work revolves around national interests, so does the climate diplomacy. Due to some historical reasons that delayed our climate diplomacy, our climate diplomacy is at an unfair disadvantage when compared with other countries, thus posing sever challenges to China’s climate diplomacy.In light of the international situations, effective measures like participating in the development of carbon emissions trading rules need to be taken, with national interests being taken into consideration, which will help us gain the initiative in the future climate negotiations.
