The Role Research Of Chinese Leaders In The Process Of Chinese Sports Diplomacy

Sports diplomacy is the combination of sports methods and foreign policy. Sport is a kind of social culture, most of research of sport diplomacy is taken seriously by researchers from the prospective of public diplomacy. But the birth of sport is destined for politics. Based on this, the research about Chinese sports diplomacy in this thesis considers the combination the identify of decision-maker of Chinese leaders and summit diplomacy, the specific and different behavior styles are formed when Chinese leaders participate in sports diplomacy. The prosperity of Chinese diplomacy shows in different historical periods. It means the different styles of different Chinese leaders in the participation of sports diplomacy.The first part of this thesis is the definition of main concepts, such as sports, diplomacy and sports diplomacy, And also the description of the contents of sports diplomacy. In this part, it emphasizes the characteristics of sports diplomacy, which will lay the groundwork for the assessment of the leaders’ participation style.The second part outlines the development history of Chinese diplomacy. The whole development periods is divided into five short parts according to the extension of time. Then, it follows a list of appropriate representative events in every development periods of Chinese sports diplomacy.The third part is the summary of the specific styles for different kind of characters who are in the participation of sport diplomacy. The character of Chinese leader is emphasized for the importance and role play in the participation.The fourth part is the styles of Chinese leaders in the participation of sports diplomacy and the corresponding analysis of reasons. According to the extension of history, the shift of leader’s function and the characteristics of invitation and participation, it summarizes the transformation and innovation of Chinese leaders’ participation style. Then, it will take a further analysis for the reason that cause the difference of participation styles of Chinese leaders.The fifth part is the assessment of the participation styles of Chinese leaders in the process of sports diplomacy. It carries out from two aspects, one is the evaluation of effect and the other is the summary of deficiency.The last part is the conclusion, the thesis’s researching significance is introduced, meanwhile, it also points out the serious challenge the participation styles will face in the new era, considering the deficiency in the level of theory and problem-solving. So, it needs a big effort in the following research.
