Research On The Red Culture Soft Power Construction In Shandong Province

The soft power of the red culture is a crucial part of China’s cultural soft power and a significant factor of socialist core values. The red culture refers to the advanced culture emerged from the process of Chinese people’s revolutionary struggle and the practice of socialism construction under the leadership of the Chinese Communis t Party(CCP). The spiritual charisma and social influence of the red culture have attracted millions of Chinese people to dedicate their life to the construction Socialism with Chinese characteristics, and then become a spirit flag which can lead Chinese people go all out to make the country strong. While Shandong possesses glorious revolutionary traditions and abundant red culture resources, these resources cannot generate into cultural soft power by their own force. The purpose of this research is solving three problems: how to strengthen the protection, development and utilization of red culture resources; how to and strengthening the promotion and education of their inherent spirit; and how to develop the Function of time and the action spirit dynamic. This research explores the development strategies and implementation methods of improving the soft power of the red culture in Shandong based on its actual conditions.Firstly, this research discusses the definition of the red culture soft power and other definitions about it. During the process of promoting the red culture spirit, and the reservation, development and utilization of red culture resources, it develops its own power, named red culture soft power. R ed culture soft power is spiritual charisma, cohesive force, emotional appeal, attraction and social influence.Secondly, this research elaborates the characteristics of red culture soft power: the vitality of beyond time and space, the leading force of spirit, the cohesive force of unity, the exciting force of optimistic, the charisma of selfless dedication, the emissive power of openness and tolerance. This research enumerates the formation process of red culture soft power: people understand accept and agree red soft power; then internalized the spirit in the heart; and applying the spirit of red culture to guiding the practical action. And this research point that it can strengthen the red cultural soft power to develop and utilize the red culture resources. This research also elaborates the construction value of the red culture soft power: it can help to increase the cohesion and charisma of the Chinese nation; it can consolidate the ruling position of the CCP; it can promote the cultivation and practice of socialist core values. And puts forward the basic principles for the construction: construction should combined with cultivation practice the socialist core values; should balance the relationship of political benefits, social benefits and economic benefits; should combining local characteristics and the social environment; should combining inheritance and innovation.Thirdly, this research points out the achievements in the red culture soft power construction in Shandong in an objective and fair way based on the field investigations conducted in some cities and towns of Shandong: the popularity of the red culture range expanded, publicity is greatly enhanced; the understanding of the red culture were improved; the cohesion and charisma were improved; the level of development and utilization of red culture resource were improved; the influence of ‘Red Shandong’ were promoted. This research points out the existing problems in the red culture soft power construction in Shandong: lack of theoretical research; the content and form lack of characteristics of times; industry development cannot achieve the desired effect; resource conservation cannot achieve the desired effect; abuse the red culture classic. This research and deeply analyzes the reasons: the modern value of mining is not enough for the red culture resources; some staffs of the propaganda department have old ideas; attach great importance to the economic development than social benefits; some people lack of the faith of red culture; lack laws and regulations; he management system is in chaos.Lastly, after acquiring a comprehensive understanding about current situation of the red culture soft power construction in Shandong, this research explores the next development direction with a purpose of providing important strategic guidance and scientific instructions for the red culture soft power construction in Shandong: intensify resource collection work, strengthen the theory research; strengthen the protection of red culture resources; strengt hen publicity and education in Shandong red culture, make the red spirit deeply rooted in the hearts of the people; strengthen the development of Shandong red culture industry chain; strengthen the red culture consciousness, make the red culture wall.
