Xi Zhongxun’s Economic Thoughts Research In The Period Of Reform And Opening Up

Xi Zhongxun was an outstanding party member of the Communist Party of China, a great communist fighter and an outstanding proletarian revolutionist, excellent work of our party and army political work leaders as well as one of the main founders and leaders of the border region revolutionary base areas. He has made great contribution for Chinese revolution and economic construction. The reform and opening period of economic work was the outstanding point of his life. As one of practitioners and supporters of the reform and opening cause to the outside world. Nowadays he formed his economic thought in this period. It has formed the important reference value to us in comprehensively deepening reform and opening up and rapid economic construction.This paper tells about Xi zhongxun economic thoughts of reform and opening period based on his selected reference works, biography, his colleagues on the premise of memories articles, in reference to predecessors who had made achievements on the integrity of the three parts.First of all, it starts from Xi zhongxun source of economic thoughts of reform and opening up period, this article elaborates the source of his economic thoughts from three aspects of the theoretical foundation, practical foundation and his personal experience. Secondly, this paper discusses and analyzes his main contents of economic thoughts one by one. In agriculture, Xi zhongxun not only improved agricultural planting structure, reasonable layout, paid attention to the comprehensive development of agriculture, and also improved the occasion for the development of different forms of contract responsibility system. In industry, Xi zhongxun innovated in enterprise system, developed industry, reformed state-owned enterprises, attached great importance to the intellectuals at the same time, actively cultivated talents for economic development. Xi zhongxun asked for the central policy through the play to the geographical advantages of Guangdong, setting up special economic zones to speed up the economic development, and actively implement the policy of overseas Chinese and oversea Chinese foreign investment to promote the rapid development of economy. Finally, there are two aspects discussed from Xi zhongxun economic thoughts characteristics and value during the period of reform and opening up. One is that he insisted on seeking truth from facts, everything from the reality of ideological line, showed the purpose of party’s serving the people wholeheartedly, coordinated the relationship between the independent and opening to the outside world which presented the reform spirit of the bold experiment that is Xi zhongxun four main characteristics of economic thoughts. The other is that he practiced MAO Zedong’s economic construction thought and implemented the theory of Deng Xiaoping’s reform and opening up.Anyhow, Xi zhongxun`s purpose of economic thoughts in the period of reform and opening up is not only for China`s economic construction and development, but also for getting rid of the face of China`s poverty and backwardness. It is beneficial to the country and people, as well as a breakthrough in economic thoughts.
