Study On The Problem Concerning Cultivation Of National Defense Students In PRC And Its Solution

Cultivating military cadres through reliance on the resources of advanced education (Hereinafter referred to as "Relied Cultivation") is one of the most commonly practiced method around the world to train military talents. At present, the major mechanism of relied cultivation in the army of PRC is the development of National Defense Students. National Defense Students are gradually forming the majority of cadres(or officers) in the army. Nevertheless, the cultivation of National Defense Students, as a recently developed idea, is still at the stage of exploration. The quality of the talents trained through advanced education is not that in accordance with the requirement of the army’s growth. Further, the training policy, training institution, which urge perfection, are still behind those of foreign military forces.In respondence to the specific requirement and characteristic of the cultivation of National Defence Students, this article will analyse the problem with the current cultivation policies and institutions. Methodology applied in the analysis includes documentary method, questionnaire survey, interviewing, qualitative and quantitative method and so on. Besides, methodology in management has also been applied, along with study of historical ways and modern approaches, analysis of structural pattern and operational methods, and comparison between domestic and foreign studies. As a result, based on the conclusion of these studies, this article tries to provide a suggestion on how to deal with the above-mentioned challenges.
