The Study On The Pattern Of How To Train The National Defense Students

The cultivation of national defense students means to rely on local universities to train officers for military. With the development of the times, national defense students begin to show more advantages than those who were educated by the old training model. Therefore, these students will gradually become the main source of military officers. But to our country, the mode of educating national defense students is a newly emerging thing, and the lack of experience leads to some certain differences between the officers we’ve cultivated and the actual demand of army.Learning from my own working experience, I studied the mode of the education of national defense students in detail. This research is based on the studying of the practical and theoretical researches at home and abroad which concern the training of officers for military. Firstly, it summarizes the successful experiences of cultivating the national defense students in China. Secondly, it sums up the deficiencies in the current circumstance and analyses the causes. Finally, it explores the whole process of the cultivation of the national defense students and brings about suggestions regarding all respects of it. Thus, Seven parts consist of the mode of the education for the national defense students, namely, the enrollment and propaganda; the daily management; the political education; the military training; the rule for awarding, punishment and knock-out; the job assignment on graduation; the connection between local and the army. In elaborating the education mode, this research pays particular attention to three aspects. Firstly, the mechanism of the enrollment and propaganda of the national defense students should be perfected to find the right way of insuring the quality of the students enrolled. Secondly, great emphasis should be put on the political education of the national defense students, in which process the innovation of the system and methods of education should be encouraged. Thirdly, the connection and adaption of the students after graduation are supposed to be smoother. Tracking cultivation which aims at the very traits of the students should be established in order to make full advantage of their technical expertise and to enable them to adapt to the life in the army more quickly.
