Studies On Peng Zhen’s Party Building Thought

As a member of the first generation of central collective leadership in CPC as well as an important member of the second generation, and a highly-respected and successful leader in the party and state, Peng Zhen has not only made indelible historic contribution to China’s revolution and CPC’s development, but also created an invaluable spiritual wealth to the noble cause of party building. In the70years of work, he has always placed high importance on party building, and proposed many effective policies and guidelines in practice. By intensively studying the characteristics and laws of party building and then summarizing its historical experience, he has formed many significant party building theories, which have been proved to be important parts of party building theory proposed by Mao Tse-tung and Deng Xiaoping, thus enriching the Chinese Marxist theory of party building greatly. It is theoretical and practically significant to study Peng’s thoughts because it will help to strengthen and improve our party, keep it advancing and purifying as well as promote the scientific construction of it, so as to unite with and lead the people in achieving the great China dream.In this article, we dig into Peng Zhen’s thoughts for party building on the basis of the previous work. This main text proceeds as follows: introduction, formal part and conclusion. In the Introduction, the origin and significance, related literature as well as searching methods and thoughts are discussed. The formal part consists of four parts. In the first part, we systematically expounds the theoretical origin realistic condition and subjective factors on how Peng’s thoughts came into being and on that basis, we traces the formation and development of such thoughts. In the second part, we have discussed in detail on the main contents of Peng’s thoughts from three aspects, namely, the advancement of the party’s thought construction, the organization construction, as well as the attitude construction. In the third part, we summarized four basic features Peng’s thoughts present, that is, strategic, feasible, innovative in theory and plain in language,etc. In the fourth part, we give a relatively objective evaluation of the historical role of Peng’s thoughts, and discusses in detail the realistic enlightenment of it to CPC’s strengthen action of current party-building work. In the conclusion, we summarized Peng’s fine spirit and the academic value and instructional significance of his thoughts.
