Philanthropy, as the third time distribution, has significant importance to construct a harmonious socialist society under the background of market economy in our country. It can not only mitigate social contradictions and social conflicts but also can offer set the inadequacy and deficiency of the government effectively during the performance of functions. In recent years, the Party Central Committee has repeatedly emphasized that we should put the charity and commercial insurance as the supplements in the process of developing and improving the social security system. It is obvious that the development of charity career has already been formally put forward on the agenda in our country. Therefore, we need to vigorously develop philanthropy under the background of constructing of harmonious socialist society.However, the philanthropy faces numerous of difficulties and bottlenecks in the current stage of social development in our country. Such as the weak charitable consciousness of the citizens’ leads to the low enthusiasm and deficient public attention in philanthropy in term of the whole society; the insufficient guide by the government mainly displays at the deficient of legislation and system guarantee; the poor management and the shortage of social credibility by the charitable organization itself. What’s more, under the condition that fierce competition among numerous charitable organizations in pursuing and seeking funds, the philanthropies have to select a new path to survive and develop. Therefore, this paper put forward the business model of charity to achieve the sustainable development of charity career, basing on the combination of "dao" and "shu" in China’s traditional culture.
