Ways Of Acquiring The Citizens’ Legal Consciousness In China

The construction of legal culture should be strengthened to promote the legal state construction and the legal work should be closely connected with the cultural construction. In a word, legal spirit should be absorbed in every step of state legal practice and solid humanities foundation is crucial. The core of legal cultural construction is to cultivate and promote citizens’legal consciousness. The acquisition of citizens’legal consciousness will enhance the base of law-governing government. This paper tries to discuss the ways of acquiring the citizens’legal consciousness in China by analyzing current citizens’legal consciousness.The first part is to tell the strategic significance of citizen’s legal consciousness which is the inherent meaning of the construction the cultural of rule by law by analyzing the connotation and structures of legal culture. The second part is to discuss the problems and causes of current citizens’legal consciousness situation in China by using a case study method. The questionnaire data of citizens’ legal consciousness investigation in Shandong province is also analyzed in this part. The third part is to discuss the legal consciousness and its origins from both public power subject-identity perspective and private right subject-identity perspective, and to suggest the possible ways of acquiring the citizens’ legal consciousness based on practical situation in China.
