Research Into Female Groups Empowerment In Urban Communities

Urban communities’construction and development as well as survival and flourishing of female groups are held up as two crucial issues in sociological academia,and these two entities interweave with each other.As vehicles of daily life,with social development,and more importantly,social betterment,urban communities exert profound influences on female groups respects of locations, joined by that of politics, economies,cultures,societies and ecologies.Meanwhile,conversely,survival and flourishing of female groups also plays a significant part in communities management and functioning,urban contemporary societies,gender impediments and predicaments in female groups’survival and flourishing,which makes them relatively vulnerable in public engagement and personal development and is highly likely to result in infernal circles.Based on sociological theories of gender and community development,proceeding from urban communities’ construction and development,this paper analyzes the interconnection between urban communities and female groups with a literature review of their interweaving history. Taking advantage of available datum,it explores into contemporary status and issues of female rights in China. By sampling questionnaires in certain urban communities in Fuzhou, it presents issues of female rights functioning in many a social aspect and searches for approaches of female groups empowerments on a community level, in the hope of improving women capabilities, so as to promote female groups’social rights and elevate their status for gender equality.
