In the history of China, Wei Jin Southern and Northern Dynasties is a period of turmoil,the years of war made society full of corruption and despair. Under this condition, Buddhism which came fromIndia at the end of Han Dynasty had the opportunities for development because of its doctrineand other reasons. On the basis of the above discussed, this part summarized thecharacteristics of the influence of Buddhism on wei jin southern and northern dynasties andthe evaluation of the influence of Buddhism on legality. It’s believed that,despite its doctrinecan attract people and bring spiritual solace, more important reason for the Buddhism canhave impact on legality is the needs of the rulers to maintain their rule.
