Research On Influence Of Community Education To The Political Efficacy

The influence of education on political efficacy and citizen consciousness is self-evident in a large number of literature. However, the community education under the lifelong education system is often perceived as recreational activities. The main problem in the article is whether community education has influence on the residents’ political efficacy or not. Cultivating political efficacy of citizens is closely related with his own education and cultural level. But we have a doubt that whether the civil community education has an impact on community residents’ political efficacy or not, especially the state adopts the community education which is not a degree in education and also has political guidance task and function to appeal government. We imagine the education activities in community life can enrich community residents’ awareness of democracy and governance of public affairs, so whether these activities can also help them to learn community autonomy and participate in community actively or not. Under the background of continuous learning community in Shanghai, Xinhua community is the learning-type city case report on the first national conference of United Nations educational, scientific and cultural organization, which also as "National Learning Street Demonstration Unit","Shanghai Civilized Community" and "Community Education Demonstration Street of Shanghai". It is quite mature in community education which has more standardized management and operation mode, so it is extensive universality and representativeness especially in Shanghai where has been pushing lifelong education system. So this article takes Xinhua Community as a case to make interviews, questionnaire investigation and combine with the collected data and literatures, and analyze the situation of community education and political efficacy of Xinhua Community. The results find that the participation of community education and the learning effects of residents play a certain positive role in political efficacy which are generally considered as a weak part in citizen consciousness. Visibly, the community education not only has a promoting effect on construction of learning society in our country, but also can enhance political efficacy and the national consciousness of citizen.
