In1993Russia applied to join the world trade organization. On the one hand, in order to adapt to the changes in the international political and economic fields, On the other hand, in order to make the domestic laws consistent with the requirements of WTO, Russia constantly improved the domestic investment environment, modified and updated a lot of foreign laws and regulations related to the foreign investment. In recent years, with the development of the economic and trade cooperation and bilateral investment, the amount of investment grows quickly. Due to the insufficient understanding of Russian investment legal environment, together with the changes and influence Russia’s new investment legal environment brings to us, it is easy to appear all sorts of problems in the process of investment. Therefore, it is necessary to analysis and research on the investment legal environment of Russia and fully understands the advantages and disadvantages of the new Russian investment legal environment brought to the Chinese investors, effectively prevent the investment risk due to the lack understanding of Russian law, regulations and policy. Based on these purposes, with expounding the reform of the foreign investment laws in the process of joining the WTO and the advantages and disadvantages of the new Russian investment legal environment, we can efficiently protect the right of Chinese investor.
