Appearance of the numerous migrant workers is one of the most important changes in modern China, so it is one of the research focuses at home and abroad. At present, many scholars pay attention to their work and life after the migration and analyze with the perspective of social integration. But most of the existing studies only, based on the migrant workers’ own position and ignored the attitude of urban residents intentionally or unintentionally. This research made use of the survey data of Zhangjiagang and Nanjing, analyzed their local residents’attitude towards migrant workers, and built the multiple liner regression model with the theoretical perspective of social participation. As a result:the attitude of local residents in Zhangjiagang and Nanjing is relatively good. They recognized that "migrant workers’ tasks are dirty, heavy and dangerous which citizens would not like to do","the economic development of cities cannot be separated from migrant workers’ endeavor" and "migrant workers provide convenience for citizens’ life" and so on. There are quite a few urban residents agreed that migrant workers should have equal rights on children’s compulsory education, employment, medical insurance, pension security and so on with local residents in. cities. Most of residents supported that migrant workers settle in the city. Influence factors of urban residents’attitude include number of friends, work, social group/organization participation and community participation, and the effect of social group/organization participation is positive. This research suggests that in order to promote the attitude transformation of urban residents and migrant workers’ social integration, the social group/organization participation may be a breakout. On this basis, this research combined the experience of Nanjing Community Development Centre for Facilitators, put forward a frame of using community social work to promote the social integration of migrant workers, and suggested that the advocacy on the macro level, social group/organization establishment on the meso-level and benign interaction among the migrant workers and urban residents on the micro level.
