In recent years,China has made many efforts in urban construction.As the most basic constituent element of a community,community residents have an important role and influence in community construction and community governance.Resident autonomy can unite community residents,solve community problems,meet community needs,promote community development,and lay a good foundation for community governance.Social work uses professional theories and methods to participate in and promote the research of urban community residents self-government.It is helpful for community residents to learn self-help to prevent and solve some social problems,promote relationships between community residents,live in harmony in the community,and coordinate social relations To improve the ability of community activities and realize the self-development of community residents.Taking the internship experience in social work institutions inChangsha as an example,the author mainly takes the residents of courtyard No.30 in W community of Changsha as the research object,and conducts a resident council in the community to study the self-government of urban community residents,and mainly studies community residents participation in the community Analyze the effectiveness,existing problems and causes of the residents‘ meeting and propose corresponding suggestions.By guiding the participation of community residents,social workers gradually increase the sense of belonging and happiness of community residents,and at the same time attract community volunteers,promote the integration of residents and the development of community governance,and provide valuable reference for exploring grassroots social governance through.And put forward suggestions for improvement on existing problems,such as the need to give full play to professional advantages,increase the participation rate of residents ’self-government,strengthen professional talent training,cultivate community volunteer teams,increase the propaganda of residents‘ self-government,expand publicity channels,and stimulate the participation of community residents Suggestions such as enthusiasm,enhance community residents’ sense of self-government,make community residents the masters of the community,enhance the sense of well-being,security and belonging of community residents,provide better services for community residents,and build a harmonious community with communityresidents.
