Since the main content of the ideological and political education in contemporary Chinais the expression of the elements of Marxist philosophy and its ideology, the connotationand the essential content involved in the ontology of the ideological and political education,largely depend on the its combination with the ontology of Marxist philosophy. This“combination” means, on one hand, bringing or fitting the ontology of Marxistphilosophy into the ideological and political education, in order to extend the concretemanifestation of the ontology of Marxist philosophy in the ideological and politicaleducation, and on the other hand, extending the ontology of Marxist philosophy byexamining the ontology of the ideological and political education, in order to combinewith the ontology of Marxist philosophy the concrete manifestation of the ontology ofMarxist philosophy in the ideological and political education, and make the ontology ofMarxist philosophy into its fullness. There are three aspects of the ontology of Marxistphilosophy: seeking the unity of world in the level of ultimate being; seeking the unityof knowledge in the level of ultimate interpretation; and seeking the unity of meaningin the level of ultimate concern. Accordingly, there are three aspects of the ontology ofthe ideological and political education: the unity of activity, the unity of knowledgeand the unity of meaning.The unity of ideological and political education activities involves firstly the feasibilityand necessity of doing so. Meanwhile, the feasibility and necessity is right reason ofcarrying out these sorts of activities. Only when it has both feasibility and necessity isit possible to be carried out, or else, it is not necessary. The unity of ideological andpolitical education activity also involves its abstractness and concreteness, as well as theproblem of specific contents. the purpose of the presence and discussion for these twoaspects is to, from the angle of the teaching and being taught,as well as the angleof ideological and political itself, to explain what kind of activities the ideological andpolitical education have, and then to make a general and fundamental explore for this kind of activities.This paper defines the unity of ideological and political education knowledge, basedon the theory of ideological and political education responsibility level. In contemporaryChinese, the word responsibility contains two meanings. One refers to the duties that youhave because of your job or position, and the other refers to something that has happenedand you agree that you were to blame for it or you caused it. Put the two meanings ofthe responsibility into the ideological and political education activities and we producea new concept named Ideological and Political Education Responsibility. Accordingly, theIdeological and Political Education Responsibility is endowed with two implications: oneresponsible should have a positive and active attitude to complete the jobs that s/he hasto do; when the duty is not finished as it should be, s/he has to take the consequenceand be reengaged in the duty, even take whatever means to give a remedy. The reasonwhy the latter situation should appear is probably because the person responsible didn’tshow the duty diligence or totally failed to perform it. There are two aspects we needto discuss about the Ideological and Political Education Responsibility: firstly, who isresponsible for carrying it out, how to implement it, how to spread and transfer theorthodox ideology political education, and how to keep up with the modern society.Secondly, who is to take the consequences if failing to perform it? The unity of ideologicaland political education activities just tells the ideological and political education main bodyand object, while the ideological and political education responsibility theory tells thespecific man in these activities. The source of the knowledge spreading and thoughts passingwhich are built into the ideological and political education is the party, and only the agentof the party can become the specific practitioners of the ideological and political educationactivities. The party and its representatives form a delegating relation.The purpose of the unit of ideological and political education is to discuss whatsignificance it may have when the orthodox ideological politics impact on the society andman’s socialization. From the aspects of social control, the ideological and politicaleducation is not only the pipeline of the ideology assimilation of everyone’s daily ideas,but the media of consensus or common sense of interpersonal communication with theideological and political things. From the view of man’s socialization, the ideologicaland political education creates a political atmosphere in the family and social occasions, where the political atmosphere aims at promoting man’s socialization; on the other hand,all people strengthen their citizenship by accepting orthodox ideology political education.There exist order of priority between the feasibility and necessity of the ideologicaland political education. Since the feasibility and necessity of the ideological and politicaleducation comes before its implementation, we have to find its proper reason for it. Butthe meaning unit of the ideological and political education comes after its implementation,and it has to make summary from the aspects of significance so as to make these activitiesmeaningful. The unity of ideological and political education activities laid the theoryfoundation for the unity of ideological and political education knowledge and the meaningunit of the ideological and political education. The unity of ideological and politicaleducation activities endows a prepositional abstraction to the activities, while the unityof ideological and political education knowledge and the unity of its significance providea postpositional concreteness.
