Marx’s ecological thought is an important component of Marxism theories. Marx started very early to pay attention to the relationship between man and nature. Although the word of "ecological thought" hardly put forward explicitly, it’s indeed based on the dialectic between man and nature.Marx not only elaborated the dialectical unity between man and nature based on the ecological thought, but also indicated that the deep cause of ecological crisis is the capitalist private ownership, thus specified a way for modern ecological crisis and also provided constructive comments for China’s ecological civilization construction. This article is divided into three chapters. Chapter one is mainly concerned the social historical and cultural background of the ecological thought in the manuscript. On one hand, it provides the basic knowledge of ecological thought, on the other hand, it classifies the theoretical premise of Marxism ecological thought in the manuscript and it mainly sublates both Hegel’s idealistic viewpoint towards nature and Feuerbach abstract nature viewpoint, which makes an important difference on the formation and development of Marxism ecological thought by critically inheriting both natural viewpoint. Chapter two classifies the major contents of ecological thought in the manuscript, which is carried out through three aspects:the natural viewpoint from the practical angle, the representation and root of ecological-dissimilation and private ownership and overcome ecological crisis--communism. The article exposits natural viewpoint from four essential elements of practice, which are practice subjects, objects, agents and results. It reclassifies the ecological thought in the manuscript. Ecological crisis reveals the alienation relationship between man and nature as well as the alienation relationship between man and itself, but it originates from the capitalism private ownership. To solve the crisis, Marx put forward that the communism is the fulfillment of unification of man and nature. Chapter three discusses both theoretical and practical significances of ecological thought in the manuscript. Its theoretical significance on one hand lies on helping mankind break through the obstacles of anthropocentrism and naturalism. On the other hand, it’s the theoretical basis and guidelines of China’s ecological civilization construction. The practical significance of ecological thought in the manuscript not only has the influence on the development of western Marxism, but also has an important realistic significance of China’s ecological civilization construction.
