ISIS’s Teenager Recruitment

Since the early of2014, ISIS has quickly occupied a number of major cities in Syria and Iraq, controlling almost one-third of the total area of the two countries. In this process, a steady stream of holy warriors joining ISIS is the key to the success of the expansion, which includes a large number of youth members around the world. After basic training, they has been involved in the multiple fronts in ISIS, some of them have even become the backbone of ISIS.As a young person, the author tries to explore:What attraction had ISIS call teenagers to join them, what is the mode and characteristics of juvenile recruitment, and what kind of background and attitude had prompt these young people to join the ISIS? Based on the above analysis, some advice about how to prevent teenagers to join ISIS is proposed to keep teenagers away from the intrusion of terrorism.While ISIS shocked the world with all kinds of cruel and unusual behavior, it is known to few. Therefore, the name, the religious belief and ambition of ISIS were mainly summarized in the first chapter of this article, so as to provide the necessary background information for the following. The second chapter focused on the recruiting mechanisms of ISIS in the Middle East, analyzing the reason why the teenagers of Middle East are selected as the main object of the recruitment, discussing their recruitment and training of young people, and inquiring into the impact of ISIS recruiting teenagers in the Middle East. The third chapter, another critical area of ISIS’s recruitment is discussed in this part, including recruiting mechanism, recruiting methods, especially the creative use of social networks in the recruitment at this time of information technology. The fourth chapter is the last chapter, in which the characteristics of ISIS’s recruiting mechanism to youth is summarized, besides, some protection measures is proposed to prevent youth from joining ISIS.
