A Study Of Wulanfu’s National Thoughts

Wulanfu is an outstanding national leader, who highly evaluates the importance of to ethnic problems and related works. He gradually formed its own national thoughts by adhering to and developing Marxism national theory, Mao Zedong ethnic theory, in the process of solving ethnic problems and the problem of Chinese socialist revolution and construction. Under the leader of Wulanfu, the people of all nationalities in Inner Mongolia were living and working with peace and contentment, political stability, the unprecedented development of the social economy, and significantly improved quality of life. WuLanfu’s ethnic thought has been important for the development of ethnic minority areas, national unity, the construction of socialist harmonious society and the realization of well-off society goal.This thesis conducts a preliminary study on WuLanfu’s ethnic thought. The first chapter, the introduction part, mainly introduces the background, purpose and significance of topics, research status, research trend and contribution of the thesis. In the second chapter, the formation and development of WuLanfu’s ethnic thought is discussed. The first part discusses the theoretical origin, specifically traditional Mongolian nationality thought, the Marx nationality thought and the national theory of the Chinese Communist Party. Next, the objective conditions and subjective conditions of the formation of WuLanfu’s ethnic thought are discussed. After that, the formation and development of WuLanfu’s ethnic thought, including the three stages of the early stage, formation and maturity, were described in detail. In the third chapter, the main contents and basic features of WuLanfu’s ethnic thought are discussed. First, the main contents of WuLanfu’s ethnic thought, specifically the thought of national prosperity, the thought of regional ethnic autonomy, the thought of national equality and the thought of national unity, the thought of national united front, are explained. Next, the three basic characteristics, specifically stage characteristic, practicality characteristic, and innovation characteristic, of WuLanfu’s ethnic thought are briefly summarized. In the fourth chapter, the practical significance and realistic revelation of WuLanfu’s ethnic thought are discussed. The discussions cover economic, political, cultural, social and ecological aspects. The final chapter concludes the thesis and points out that WuLanfu’s ethnic thought is important for solving the China’s ethnic problems which are becoming more critical in recent years.
