Design And Implementation Of Prison Management Information System

Prison is an organ of the State for executing criminal punishments, as the important part of the justice system, prison bears the sacred duty of preservation of social security and stabilization, preventing and reducing crime, and plays important role in consolidating the socialist regime, ensuring the process of reform and opening. Prison management mainly covers the routines manage work, education of prisoners and management of reforming through labour, punishment execution, team construction and management of Prison officers, logistics and etc.With the development and promotion of computer technology and network technology, there is a glowing need for informatization of prison management. In view of present situation of our provincial prison management, drawing on the experiences of domestic and foreign prison management informatization, the thesis designs and develops an informatization system of prison management based on J2 EE platform and SQL SERVER background database. The main contents of this thesis are as follows:First of all, the thesis introduces the significance of informatization for prison management as well as current researches at home and abroad, according to which the research situation and content are proposed. A further detailed introduction of the key techniques of the system, including J2 EE structure, the core technology and the system design and so on is subsequent.Secondly, according to the actual situation of our province prison management, the overall goals of prison management informatization, system construction, and the function module partition, the thesis analyzes the need of prison information management system, and then designs in detail a system including the general framework, function module, database, and security based on the need. This system is a three-layer structure with the function of prison administration, enforcement of criminal punishment, reformatory education, and health administration. In the design of system database, SQL SERVER is used as the background database with core data charts such as organizational chart, prison administration chart, personnel chart, and reformatory education chart and so on. Besides, detailed designs regarding the security of user administration, authority management, data encryption, and backup are carried out.Finally, from the point of main function modules, the prison information management system is stated, tested and deployed. The results show that if the system is put into use, it will facilitate our province prison management, promote the construction of justice, openness and fairness in prison administration.
