Study On The Current Problems Of The Migrant Workers’ Political Participation

Since the reform and opening up of China, along with urbanization, migrant workers become an important part of industrial workers in China. But the identity of the work and farmers, the city and countryside, which make them marginalized in the city life, and even become vulnerable groups in the city. Because of this characteristic, their political participation were not effective satisfied. The longer it won’t be conducive to social harmony and stability, to the development of democratic politics in China. From a broader background, this is not unfavorable to our country to build a well-off society in an all-round way and realize the great target of the "China dream" which is the great rejuvenation the Chinese nation.The Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China report pointed out:"Accelerating socialist democracy institutionalized, standardization, and procedural, to expand citizen’s orderly political participation from all levels of the various fields". "Guarantee that the people share the more real democratic rights". How to realize social status and role of the migrant workers, to effectively guide and guarantee their exercise their political rights and to explore and solve their problems in the process of political participation, which having become a problem in the study of contemporary Chinese politics can not be neglected. In this paper, in the perspective of the urbanization process, combined with the relevant political science theories and methods, analyze the present problems of migrant workers’ political participation and cause. Put forward related countermeasures to improve migrant workers’political participation. Making broad migrant workers truly the role of the master in the process of the reform and opening up, in order to promote the development of socialist democratic politics with Chinese characteristics and maintain social harmony and stability play a proper role.
