Research On The Political Participation Of The New Generation Of Migrant Workers

Constructing democratic politics with Chinese characteristics and advancingalong China’s own political development road are consistent objectives of the rulingparty, CPC, and among those objectives, to extend citizens’orderly participating inpolitical affairs from all levels and domains has become the most important aspect,which should naturally include the political participation of young migrant workers.The young migrant workers participating in political affairs has become not only animportant social-political phenomenon attracting much attention and an importantpart of the political participation of the citizens in China, but also an importanttheoretical and practical issue of developing China’s democratic politics. Guided bythe principles of Marxist political science and based on China’s social reality ofpolitical development at present, as a whole the dissertation has carried oncomparatively systemic and comprehensive research on the political participation ofyoung migrant workers with quantitative and qualitative analytic method, ecologicalanalytic method, comparative analytic method and a few subjects’crossing method etc.Guided by the principles of Marxist political science, the dissertation hassystemically analyzed the general theories of the young migrant workers’ politicalparticipation, for the young migrant workers to provide systemic, comsprehensiveresearch with its theoretical foundation. The dissertation has discussed the importantsocial value of the young migrant workers participating in political affairs in themacroscopic angle, from the perspective of promoting China’s economicdevelopment, supporting political stability,pushing forward political democratizationand turning the young migrant workers into civil citizens. Based on China’s socialreality, it has analyzed the path to the young migrant workers participating in politicalaffairs, main clear characteristics and the new highlighted problems in detail. Thedissertation has deeply analyzed the restrictive factors for influncing the youngmigrant workers on participating in political affairs from the perspective of theeconomic environment, political system environment, political cultural environment,legal system environment and their subjective quanlity etc. And according to the restrictive factors for influncing the young migrant workers on participating inpolitical affairs, it has constructively put forward the basic path to its developmentpushed forward from its basic direction, basic principle, path selection and expandingnew efficient political participation etc. in the total frame of democratic politics withChinese characteristics.Currently, the systemic analysis as a whole is comparatively few of the youngmigrant workers participating in political affairs in china’s political academy.Thedissertation, aimed at carrying out a systemic and comprehensive study of the youngmigrant workers participating in political affairs, has some certain exploration andinnovation theoretically. The dissertation will carry out the migrant workers’ issuesfurther perfectly and deeply, widen the scope of political participation and provide thebasic path referred to for extending the young migrant workers’ orderly participatingin politics. For some issues and analyses explored here that have its own defects andshortcoming, some of the dissertation are not wholly and sufficiently due to the limitof professional knowledge, which will need further study in the future.
