The operational capability of BCU(Basic Combat Units) depends on not only the performance of the constituent equipment, but also the operational efficiency influenced by operation support work. The operation support work of BCU involves optimization of the related operation support resources: in the development stage, we should researched on coordination of the operation support resources; in the operation phase, we should scheduled the operation support resources reasonably based on the the operational characteristics.The process of BCU missions and operation support work is relatively complicated, and there are more random factors. It’s difficult to model using actual operation or traditional parsing algorithm.So, the problem of simulation modeling and optimization for operation support resources of BCU has a strong application and research value. This thesis presents a Petri net and improved genetic algorithm-based research on simulation modeling and optimization for operation support resources of BCU.At first, according to improve and extend the existing Petri net, come up with a advanced Petri net which has a better extensibility called hierarchical colored generalized stochastic Petri net(HCGSPN). Based on the modeling method, research on the mission process, operation support project process and resources using process, then get the modeling method of the process of operation support of BCU.Secondly, the optimum model based on HCGSPN and improved genetic algorithm is built. Through analyzing the cost of operation support resources allocation, the operation support running cost and the penalty cost of operation support task failure to design and calculate the objective function; considering the resources allocation scheme, simultaneously adjust the start time of many operation support work which further improving the mean time of operation support; the improved genetic algorithm using orthogonal experimental design to initialize population, one-point crossover/mutation and differential evolution to mutate the chromosome, ? ?? elitist strategy to optimize the father population, which can improve the converging speed and enhance the possibility of searching better solutions.Finally, aimed at the multiple waves anti-aircraft training mission of one aerial defense BCU, describes the mission process of missile battalion, built the HCGSPN model of the whole operation support process. Through analyzing simulation and optimization results, verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed modeling method.
