A Study On Arab Socialism

Arab socialism is one of the Arab world’s mainstream political thought in the second half of the 20 th century. In different countries, Arab socialism,with different theoretical expression and practice characteristics, can be divided into many main branches, the revival of socialism, Nasser socialism, "the world’s third theory", socialist self-management in Algeria, Tunisia and other constitutional socialism. Although the internal genres of the Arab socialist theory are complex, but the basic theory and political views are relatively consistent, and there are some common theory and characteristics for the inspection. In addition, Arab socialism is a compound theory, in which Arab nationalism, Islamic faith, scientific socialism are as the three main theoretical sources. Exploring the relationship between Arab socialism and its three theoretical sources, of with great significance, helps analysis of the theoretical level of Arab socialism, Liquidating its theoretical framework, fixing their theoretical properties. Thus, this part is the focus of this paper and specialty.Firstly, this paper,by historical research methods, depicts the historical and theoretical background of Arab socialism,introduces the rising and development process of the theory,as well as its basic features. Then this paper particularly focuses on the theory and practices of Revival socialism and Nasser’s socialism,introduces some unique ideas and practices of other genres by the way. this chapter,using comprehensive analysis method and comparative study,demonstrates the fundamental relationship between Arab socialism and its three theoretical sources, trying to prove the following three conclusions:first, Arab nationalism, is the theoretical basis of the Arab socialism, and Arab socialism is a sort of socialism label affixed to Arab nationalism.second, although Islam is one of the important sources of Arab socialism theory, but Arab socialism is still a secular theory essentially.third, Arab socialism is not the socialism of the traditional sense, but rather the localization of socialism, with the base of the Absorbed Marxism and combination of traditional Arab and Islamic teachings.Arab socialism is a great attempt for Arab nationalist to explore the future on the path of national development, with a important theoretical and practical significance to the study of Arab socialism. It not only has the unique characteristics of the theory, the more valuable experience, not only enrich the theoretical treasure trove of world socialism, but also for other developing countries and even the future of socialist practice provides valuable reference.
