Britain is an important birthplace of modern capitalism, and is also the earliest birthplace of trade unions organizations, which on behalf of the working class economic and social rights and interests. British Labour party was established in 1900 under the support and sponsorship of the trade unions organizations. After one hundred years of political ups and downs, British Labour party has become one of the two major political parties, which from an electoral alliance into a modern political party. British Labour party as it originated from the trade unions movement, and the trade unions is the main body of the Labour party, as well as the main source of the Labour party fiscal revenue, so Labour party policy proposals was subjected to the trade unions for a long period. In one hundred years of political ups and downs, the unique party relationship between the Labour party and the trade unions, by the original intimacy gradually alienated for general social partnership. On September 25, 2010, British Labour party has elected a new leader, after losing the ruling status of 13 years, which into the era of Ed miliband. In the election of the Labour party leader, Ed miliband got support of the trade unions, especially the support of the big six main trade unions. Therefore, the Labour party trade unions policy adjustment during the period of Ed miliband would be the important variables affecting the development of the British Labour party politics. This paper takes the Labour party’s trade unions policy as the research object when Ed miliband become the Labour party leader, in-depth analysis and study the changes of the Labour party trade unions policy during the period of Ed miliband. Hope through this topic research, able to a clear grasp of the Labour party trade unions policy during the period of Ed miliband.This article through to comb basic course in the evolution of the relationship between British Labour party and the trade unions, on the basis of relationship between Labour party and the trade unions reposition as well as the Labour party trade unions policy adjustment to the trade unions during the period of Tony Blair, study and analysis Labour party trade unions policy changes during the period of Ed miliband. Through deep reform in Labour electoral system, reduce Labour economic dependence of trade unions, further weakening the power of the trade unions in the British Labour party.
