Marx’s harmonious thought is related closely to the social contradictions of his times and living dilemma. Marx criticizes deeply the German classical philosophy, utopian socialism and the British classical political economics, simultaneously, properly absorbing the active and reasonable ingredients, gradually developing his own harmonious thought. In Marx’s view, there are main reasons including the private ownership of the capitalist, the social division of labor as well as undue distribution system to cause the disharmony. Thus, he proposed it should be essential to eliminate fundamentally the old division of labor and private ownership of the capitalist so that the harmonious state would be achieved. The harmony expressed by Marx includes fours aspects such as the relations between man and nature, man and man, man and society as well as man itself. Firstly, the survival and development of human beings rely on or subject to nature inevitably. In the process of cognizing and reforming nature, only when we follow the natural rules and alleviate the contradiction between man and nature, will the harmony of man and nature be realized. Secondly, personal survival and development can not be separated with the interaction. Due to the different pursuit between man and man, there are various conflicts of interests produced. Only to develop the productive forces, the conflicts of interests can be solved and the harmonious relations among people can be maintained. Thirdly, the person is a social person, and society is a society of people. The progress of man and society are not only mutual premises and promotion, but only the two closely linked and is internal integraty. Finally, the harmony of man and itself lies in the supplement of each other including soul and flesh, physics and intelligence, reason and emotion, knowing and doing, and the material and spiritual. As a result, realize the comprehensive and free development of people’s all aspects.Marx regarded the "realistic people" as the basic starting point and final end-result of harmonious thought. He strongly criticized the old philosophy theory and the capitalist society reality, and paid close attention to people’s freedom and all-round development. He put people as the subject and related people, natural with social systems, which displays Marx’s harmonious thought containing profound humanistic care. Marx’s harmonious thought provide solid theoretic basis and practical reference to the harmonious development of human society.
