Justice,from its birth, is an eternal topic for all philosophers, economists, political scientists and jurists, and an eternal pursuit of all human being. Economy refers to the process of production, distribution, exchange and consumption of material wealth. Justice is an allocation state of being fair and reasonable in social interests, opportunity and welfare among social members. Therefore, economic justice refers to the fair and reasonable allocation state of the means of production and labor products among the social members.The period in which Engels lived witnesses the rapid development of capitalism at the expense of the natural environment and interests of human, which results in the prominence of various social contradictions, the capitalists’ exploitation of the labors, the damage to the natural environment, and exacerbation of social contradictions. In order to eliminate the extremely unfair system, Marx and Engels are dedicated to the foundation of the communist theory, in pursuit of the eliminating exploitation and polarization, and achieving a real fair and just society.Engels’ view of economic justice derives from the economic justice thought of the social political economics of Britain, the Utopian socialism of France and the classical philosophy of Germany, which includes production justice, exchange justice, distributive justice and consumption justice. According to Engels, economic justice should be gained through the development of the productive forces, the improvement of the productive relations, and even the innovation of social systems. Economic justice aims at the liberation and development of social productivity, and the realization of people’s development at all levels.To study his view of economic justice brings about the practical significance as well as theoretical significance. The short-term objective is the promotion of economic justice, and the long-term objective is the achievement of real justice throughout the whole society and even among all the human beings, elimination of exploitation and classes, and the realization of the free and all- level development of human. O nly by facilitating the construction of the justice theory can we step towards the ideal of communism. In addition, Engels’ s justice view has a comprehensive concern, including institution, economy, society and ecology. To study the economic justice view of Engels may help us to establish a comprehensive viewpoint of justice.
