The Research On The Cultivation Of Public Spirit In The Transitional Community

Public spirit is a vague definition and it is difficulty to clearly define, it has the public, civic, participatory, performance of diversity and radiation and other characteristics. In the construction of socialist harmonious society today, it is necessary to cultivate the public spirit of citizens, which is the important idea of building a harmonious society. At the same time, with the continuous advance of urbanization, the urban community construction began in 1990s, and the suburban rural areas were also involved in the city of the rolling waves, thus resulting in a new type of community which is neither urban nor rural. Influenced by all kinds of special factors, a series of problems occurred in the development of Transitional Community, the most obvious is the public spirit of the transitional community residents. This paper takes some typical transitional communities in Suzhou Industrial Park, as an example, to investigate and find out the public spirit status of Transitional Community Residents in order to put forward some opinions and suggestions on how to cultivate the public spirit of transitional community residents from different perspectives.This paper mainly consists of four parts:the first part:the overview of public spirit, including the content of public spirit, the basic requirements and the characteristics of public spirit. In the second part, the paper discusses the concept and the generating factor of the public spirit of the transitional community residents, and expounds the important significance of cultivating the public spirit of transitional community, which is conducive to narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas, promoting the process of urbanization, promoting the practice of socialist core values of community, helping the grassroots democratic self-government, strengthening the identity and belonging of the residents to the community, enhancing social trust, and promoting the construction of harmonious society. The third part:the investigation and analysis of the public spirit of the transitional community residents, from the Suzhou Industrial Park, six transitional communities, the questionnaire survey data and interviews, summed up the performance and reasons of the public spirit of the Transitional Community residents. The fourth part: the basic strategy of the public spirit cultivation of the Transitional Community residents. Some practical suggestions and measures are put forward. Taking the socialist core values as the leading, exploring the long-term mechanism of the public spirit cultivation of community citizens. To government, community and individual residents as the main body, proceed from the baking of economy, politics and culture, through strengthen the material base, to build community democratic politics, creating a community culture, strengthening community public service function and other measures, better faster to promote the cultivation of Transitional Community Public Spirit of citizens.
