In today’s world, the domestic violence against women, and many countries and regions have taken positive measures. China from "the fourth world conference on women"(which was held in Beijing in 1995),domestic violence problems gradually caused extensive concern of the whole society. In hunan province, in March 2000, the first to formulate local regulations at the provincial level resolution of hunan province to prevent and stop family violence, domestic abuse work made the positive progress. However, domestic violence problems in rural areas is still quite prominent. The author in recent years in the less developed areas taojiang county engaged in women’s rights protection work, the handling of complaint reporting strongly felt the rural women suffer family violence phenomenon is widespread, seriously affected the relationship, family harmony and social harmony.The author use three years time, visited ten towns taojiang county more than 100 village(community), field survey of rural women suffering from domestic violence, formed in this paper. The construction of paper is made up of several parts: the first part is the introduction,including background research, the research significance of written papers, reviews, method and content. The second part, the essential theoretical foundation of the domestic violence; The third part, the status quo of taojiang county rural women suffering from domestic violence.The fourth part, the harm of taojiang county rural women suffering from domestic violence; The fifth part, the reason of taojiang county rural women suffering from domestic violence; The sixth part, the rural women and increases the power ways domestic abuse countermeasures against.
