Analysis On Current Situation And Affecting Factors Of Living Satisfaction Of The Old In China

Nowdays, our country is accelerating into the aging society and the population structure changes a lot. As the vulnerable group, the group of the old is becoming larger and larger. Since the productivity level was relatively low when China entered the aging socety, the whloe society showing the feature of’old before getting rich’. And in recent years, downward pressure of Chinese economy is larger, so society will bear greater pressure of pension. Besides, the number of’empty nesters’is increasing. It is easy to breed a series of social problems if there is a lack of attention to these problems, which requires the society giving more attention to survival situation and life satisfaction of the elderly populatin.Research on life satisfaction of the old in this paper mainly includes two aspects. One aspect is descriptive statistic on the current life satisfaction’s status of old people, evaluating elderly’s subjective perception on themselves. The other one is selecting main factors on life satisfaction of the old base on relevant theory and literature and the data the paper used and explore the effect of influencing factors on life satisfaction of the elderly and effecting method of these factors, striving to give more reasonable analysis and interpretation on current life satisfaction of the olderly.According to the research, the paper draws the following mian conclusions. Firstly, ’mental health’,’physics health’ and’emotion life’ has a positive direct effect on living satisfaction of the elderly. Secondly, Direct effect of’economic level’for life satisfaction of old people is not significant. The effect mainly reflects on indirect effect. Thirdly, because of total effect,’mental health’ is the most important factor for life satisfaction of the old and it should be the key to improve life satisfaction of the old. Fourthly, ’economic level’and ’physics health’ is more important to’mental health’ of the old compare to’emotion life’.According to above conclusions, the paper puts forward related suggestions on how to inprove life satisfaction and subjective well-being of the old from the elderly themselves, their families, communities and the society, expecting to propose related reference in improving living conditions and life satisfaction of the old.
