A Study On The Relationship Between The Old-Age Support And The Life Satisfaction Of The Seniors

In recent years, the decline of the birth rate and the extention of life expectancy further accelerate the pace of population aging. And, along with the gradual weakening of traditional family pension model, it will have an impact on the way of seniors’ support and life expectancy. The olders will also face with the spiritual emptiness, unattended and their heavy burden of labor and other issues. Therefore, the paper will explore through the different of the factors of the source of seniors’ support and the content of seniors’ support to study the age’s influence on the seniors’ life satisfaction.Firstly, I participate in the ‘The China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study’, with this survey to obtain first-hand information, using the older in Jiangsu,Zhejiang, and Shanghai as a research object, and using the data of ‘The China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study’ in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, from the theoretical perspective of economics, sociology, psychology and other social security and so on to elaborate the relationship of between the old-age support and the life satisfaction. By collecting the relevant data, surveys and literature,we can know that:due to individual basic variables and obtain different source of seniors’ support and the content of seniors’ support, the seniors’ life satisfaction will be different. This will also provide a strong theoretical support for this paper.Secondly, I use the single-factor analysis of variance, descriptive statistics and multiple regression to study the the status quo and relationship of between the old-age support and the life satisfaction. And based on it, I study the differences of the gender,age, education, marriage, childrens, residences, incomes, different districts and other demographic variables. By using basic demographic variables, the source of seniors’ support and the content of seniors’ support to multiple regression of the life satisfaction, and obtain the significant factor to affect the life satisfaction, and to predict the trends of the life satisfaction in 2015-2055 in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai.Thirdly, through the above analysis and research issues, based on the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the Third Plenary Session of the 18 th Central Committee, we can learn from the advanced experience of pension’s service system in other countries, combined with the actual situation in Jiangsu,Zhejiang, and Shanghai. Through the analysis of status and empirical research about older in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, we obtain the factors of affecting overall life satisfaction in Jiangsu, Zhejiang: marriage, childrens, incomes, the source of daily care, the support of medical, the support of emotion, self-support and children-support.From the four angles of governments, communities, families and individuals I give the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions in order to improve life satisfaction in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, so that they can have a stability and harmony life.KEY WORDS:Seniors’ support; Life Satisfaction; Aging; Predictive analysis...
