The Study Of League Activity In Independent College From The Perspective Of Humanistic Care Abstract

Independent College is a new model of higher education system. Since the run of independent colleges, they have developed very quickly. But they also face great challenges from both the universities ranking higher and vocational colleges. Students from independent colleges need to gain excellent professional skills and high overall qualities in order to gain a position in the competitive society. As an efficient way to improve students’ competence, league activity is very important in independent colleges. As an organization of advanced youth in China, China Communist Youth League shoulders the responsibility of cultivating assistants and reserve force for Communist Party of China. Youth league branches in colleges should organize various forms of group activities to promote students’ healthy growth and development. In recent years, independent colleges develop in flourish and the society is undergoing profound transformation. Under the new circumstance, independent colleges should be more concerned about the youth league activities to achieve the goal of ideological and political education as well as quality-oriented education. More research on league activities is needed. Especially the idea of humanistic care in youth league activities has practical significance in promoting young students’ overall development and enhancing their comprehensive quality. The paper is divided into four parts.Part one is literature review on humanistic care and league activities. The core and connotation of humanistic care idea is mentioned in this part, which provides a theoretical basis for the design and conduct of league activities. Then it comes to the concept、characteristics and types of league activities. League activities should conform to times, diversity and practical features. And they can be summarized as the following 4 types: ideological and moral cultivation, scientific and technological innovation, culture and art in students’ physical and mental development, social practice and voluntary service.Part two is mainly about the theoretical basis and the value of humanistic care in league activities. Based on humanistic spirits in Chinese traditional culture、the theory of human being’s all-round development in Marxism and humanistic governing idea by Communist Party of China, this part focuses on the theoretical value and practical value of usinghumanistic care in league activities. By strengthening humanistic care, the content of league activities can be enriched, its theoretical basis can be consolidated, and the ultimate value of league activities can be made clear. Humanistic care can provide the motive power for league activities, and a better way to forge college students’ mind. It can also enhance the effectiveness of league activities, and promote the building of a harmonious campus.Part three is the analysis of current situation in the humanistic care in independent colleges’ league activities. Despite the fact that the conduct of league activities is well-organized in various forms, apparently we are short of humanistic care. The current activities put more emphasis on external value rather than intrinsic value; they pay more attention to instrumental needs rather than the role of subjectivity; they give students more material reward than spiritual enhancement; spoon-feeding outweighs communication in the activities. Humanistic care league activities also lack financial support, stable organizer, mass base, and a good environment.Part four seeks an optimal way to carry out league activities from the perspective of humanistic care. The conduct of league activities should be based on human’s all-round development, and be guided by the principle of humanistic care. The content and forms of league activities should be enriched. A security mechanism of system、funds and stable organizers should be established, thus humanistic care is implemented in league activities to promote the comprehensive development of college students.
