The ideological and political work is the Party’s good tradition and political advantage, an important guarantee for procuratorial organs to fully honor their legal supervision function. as well as the lifeline for procuratorial teams remaining exuberant and vibrant in the new situation. The key to make grass-roots procuratorial work to keep pace with new situation, to straighten out new ideas, to implement new initiatives and to develop new performance is to build a well-qualified procuratorial team with clear political orientation, unwavering political stand, strict political discipline and excellent performance ability, and all of these depend on strong ideological and political work for guarantee. With continuous development of China’s socialist legal construction, people have higher demand on the judicial image of procuratorates and the quality of prosecutors. Therefore, it is of both theoretical and practical significance to explore how to play the positive role of ideological and political work of grass-roots procuratorates in completing the "three priorities", well serving the overall work during the 12th Five Year Plan Period and ensuring comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development of grass-roots procuratorial undertaking.With grass-roots procuratorates as the research object, this thesis starts from straightening out the research status of ideological and political work of procuratorial organs, makes a preliminary discussion on the current situation of ideological and political work of grass-roots procuratorates, analyzes their existing problems and why do these problems emerge, and concludes with suggestions to strengthen ideological and political work of grass-roots procuratorates.This thesis can be roughly divided into three parts. The first part is the introduction which focuses on the research background, research significance, related literature review and main research content, ideas and method. The second part is the main part and consists of chapter two, chapter three and chapter four. Chapter two is an overview of ideological and political work of grass-roots procuratorates, and it firstly defines the concepts of grass-roots procuratorates, ideological and political work, ideological and political work of grass-roots procuratorates, summarizes the ideological characteristics of current grass-roots procuratorial police and describes the characteristics of ideological and political work of grass-roots procuratorates. Chapter three makes an analysis of and summarizes the present situation of ideological and political work of grass-roots procuratorates from existing problem analysis and cause analysis. Chapter four elaborates strengthening path for the ideological and political work of grass-roots procuratorates, and describes how to carry out ideological and political work of grass-roots procuratorates from concept innovation, subject innovation, method innovation, content innovation and carrier innovation.
