2014 "nine in one" election, not only show the loss of the bluish camp and the incretion of split-ticket voter, but also reveals no party people is working effect. Election results suggests that more than 40% of the electorate which we called median voters are making impact on Taiwan’s political development.Compared with party identification, the median voters has the characteristics of instability and fuzziness, so it’s difficult to measure their internal. On the whole, the median voters almost are Taiwanese, receiving education and hold a pragmatic attitude towards mainland. Their voting behavior is easy affect by issues、candidates、 retrospective in government policy and generations behavior. The party identification have the significant influence on median voters, while the generation behavior relevance to vote is not clear.From the point of view of social cleavage, the changes of social structure weakened the cleavage of ethnic and the cleavage of unification and independence, which the cleavage of economic is coming. Considered that more middle class converted to median voters, choosing to go middle of the route and hold the status quo on attitudes towards mainland.At the local level, with the adjustment of administrative planning, the island’s electoral plate more synchronized with the party identification. At the same time, Local power exert special influence on voters by human network and "pile foot" mobilization.In a word, median voter’s composition is always present dispersion state. Ignoring the effect of median voter will be in trouble, but rely too much on them will occurs policy deviation. We should face and rational utilization of centrist voters to maximize its utility.
