Based on the above reasons, the author establishes the subject to study.The main contents of this paper are as follows:Firstly, a brief introduction is given to the research background and research content, the relevant research literature review and the research ideas and methods. At the same time, we give the conception of the empty nest elderly; the elderly mental health has combed and defined, introducing the psychoanalysis theory, social support theory, need hierarchy theory and other related theories.Secondly, referring to previous studies, we use the methods of questionnaire and on-the-spot interviews of Tangshan City empty nest elderly mental health checks. Then we summed up the mental health status of the present stage of the empty nest elderly in Tangshan City, and have carried on the analysis to the influence factors.Thirdly, we summed up the advanced experience at home and abroad the empty nest elderly mental health care, such as Singapore attention to create a love and respect for elders and social atmosphere, the introduction of the law to provide protection for maintenance of empty nest elderly, encourage the multigenerational family pattern; Germany the endowment insurance put in a dominant position.
